Getting Started
Peon Tactics is a PvP-focused, turn-based tactical RPG played on a 3D hex grid. Two sides field a team of peons and fight until one side is eliminated or the shrinking battlefield forces a conclusion. This page is a quick orientation; the rest of the wiki is the detail.
A Battle at a Glance
- Hex grid. Movement, range, and line of sight are all measured in hexes. Facing matters — many effects care about which arc (front or rear) an attack comes from.
- Turns and rounds. Units act on their turn, spending movement points (MP) to reposition and action points (AP) to use skills. A round is one cycle through both sides.
- Fog of war. You only see what your units can see. Vision range, and skills that grant or deny it, are a core part of positioning.
- The map shrinks. Past a certain round the battlefield contracts and hazard tiles deal damage, forcing the fight toward a resolution. See Game Rules.
Building a Unit
Each peon is the sum of four choices:
- Its class — the stat block, skills, and signature mechanic.
- A weapon — base damage, damage type, range, and a unique effect.
- An armor — resistances, movement, and zone of control.
- An accessory — a rule-bending utility with a drawback.
Weapons and armor can each carry an enchantment for one more layer of effect.

Stat tables throughout the wiki are generated straight from the game's data files, so the numbers match the current build. Start with Classes to find an archetype that suits you, then dig into its skills and the equipment that supports your plan.
